Today I decided that no matter what, I was AT LEAST going to take a few minutes to cut out my next project...and I DID! Here's a preview pic
Guess maybe you could tell it's for Halloween?? So while I'm in this slow period of chugging along, I'd show you something I made MANY years ago. It's a little project bag.
It closes with a zipper and it has Ziploc bags sewn into it. It holds a little bit of handwork really well...some piecing or applique (it has both in it right now). I made it so long ago I have no idea where the pattern is.
I do have to say that I'm fairly impressed with the little blocks I put on the front. I had my old sewing machine back then and was not using a rotary cutter or any fast piecing methods for working with tiny pieces (like paper piecing) or anything. The piecing is not perfect, but it's not bad, considering the blocks are only THREE INCHES big.
Thanks for checking in. I'll keep pecking away at my project. My great friend Linda once told me to sew a few minutes every day and pretty soon, I'd have a quilt to show for it. That's good advice...steal a few minutes a day for creativity!
