Lessons Learned #2: DO THE RIGHT THING

Notice that I did not say
FOLLOW THE RULES.
It's not always the same thing.

I believe in doing what seems like
the right thing to do.
Not because I'll get a reward.
Not because if I DON'T do the right thing,
I'll get in trouble.
I'm talking about doing the right thing,
JUST BECAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING.

If you're familiar with
Lawrence Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development,
then you know I could just as easily have titled this post
STRIVE FOR LEVEL SIX.
But you might have thought I was
talking about video games.
